Josh and I got checked off on Project 8, where we interfaced a remote control with a PIC microcontroller to select and generate square waves for an oscilloscope. Finally. I also installed QuickBug on one of my PIC18F452 controllers. At night, I finished grading tests.

My court case is closed; I’m finally finished with probation, and there will be no more morning visits to the Probation Office. In biology lab, we investigated cellular respiration and fermentation. The students had a test in recitation. I also graded student submissions.

David and I had a quick lunch at Arby’s after studying in the library. Took a Circuit Analysis exam. Studying with Maryam this weekend certainly paid off, and I felt very well prepared for it. Josh and I spent most of today trying to knock out Project 8 for Embedded Microcontroller Lab. We probably won’t be able to finish this one on time. In the ProgDev meeting, we discussed Project 4, which, tentatively, looks like it will be an MP3 editor.

All of this sight, I can’t believe I couldn’t see

Had a biology exam. I dropped by the Hands on Atlanta office to pick up some software. Josh, his girlfriend Melissa, my imaginary girlfriend, and I went to the Old Spaghetti Factory on Ponce for dinner. After dinner, we went and watched Daredevil at the movies. Back at the apartment, I created my first successful Windows 2000 Professional SP-3 slipstream CD. I also discovered that you can bypass the product key logon screen by changing the last three digits of the PID field in setupp.ini to 270, volume licensing. I haven’t tried this yet, however.

In dreams till my death, I will wonder on

I studied for my upcoming biology exam in the Van Leer study lounge. The Embedded Microcontroller Lab was full from people still trying to finish Project 7, so Josh and I decided to postpone our usual meeting until later this week. Instead, I practiced soldering in the lab using spare PCB board. I took a nap when I got back to the apartment.

Our Internet is more or less working again. A TA meeting in the early afternoon, after which I worked on my biology lab report in the Library for a few hours before the actual lab. In recitation, I handed back tests and we discussed arrays, vectors, sorting algorithms, and recursion. After recitation, the TAs and I had an unofficial dinner at the Olive Garden.

Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches again. The usual ProgDev meeting in the afternoon. I think I’m starting to get sick, so I’m making sure to take plenty of precautions by getting lots of rest and taking vitamins. An AT&T technician should come by tomorrow and check our Internet connection. I stopped by the Probation Office today. Next week should be my last meeting with them. I’m looking forward to this weekend.

Our Internet is still down. Adam and I went shopping at the grocery store and then made Charlie’s enchilada casserole for dinner. We also went to Georgia Tech to take our online biology quiz. I also got an oil change. As things went from bad to worse, I managed to break my left rear speaker.

Our Internet died. This makes it hard to get just about anything accomplished since all of us are so dependent on it. Adam, Nicky, and I ate lunch at Mama Niki’s Pizza (formerly Mellow Mushroom) by Kroger.

In the afternoon, Adam and I went to Georgia Tech to play DDR at the Student Center before leaving for Alex and Elysia’s party at their apartment.

I helped some Spanish guy who ran out of gas on the road. He didn’t speak any English, so I got to work on my foreign language skills. After about an hour, I was able to help him out and went on my way.

I finally worked out the quirks in Project 7 and got checked off in Embedded Microcontroller Lab. Josh should be happy to hear that.

Setup a Windows 2000 Professional (allegro) development virtual machine, and connected it to the existing primary domain controller (legato). I found out the hard way that this first required enabling the DNS service on the domain controller, or the client machine would complain about an unreachable network path.
