TA meeting in the early afternoon. Spent the day in lab working on operational amplifiers. Our Microelectronic Circuits Lab TA has a website where we can check our grades. Made several bug fixes to the lexer.
Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself
It already feels like the week should be over and it’s only Monday. Turned in the first VLSI project and received verification on the PNP common-emitter transistor measurements for Microelectronic Circuits Lab. Re-released Homework 4, correcting minor typos. Added proper EOF handling to the lexer for Compilers & Interpreters.
Homework 4 was finalized and released to the CS1371 students today. Let the barrage of questions begin. Planned out my work schedule for next week. Things look busy again. Composed a brief outline for my Microelectronic Circuits Lab formal report. Watched the excellent Miyazaki’s Spirited Away film with Adam.
Finally got a chance to do some grocery shopping. Sent out bills. Modified the Sieve filter rules to filter student e-mail into a special folder. Worked on morse code, finishing up the EISH5, TMO0, AUV4, and NDB6 groups. The next radio exam is on September 27 so I need to be ready by then.
The usual TA meeting in the afternoon. It looks like I’ve been giving the task of writing Homework 4. Finished the 2-input XNOR layout as well the final problem layout, and arrived back at the apartment somewhere around midnight. In recitation, we covered flow control and number systems.
Routine TA meeting in the morning. Finished Experiment 2 for Microelectronic Circuits Lab. Briefly worked on VLSI, and made some corrections to the Engineering Economics homework. Began writing Homework 4 for Computing for Engineers. It’s a difficult homework, and should be quite a challenge for the students.
Upon glancing at the syllabus, I just realized that the first formal report is due two weeks from today, not one. That’s a great relief. I spent the afternoon at Georgia Tech working with Chris on VLSI design. It’s actually a pretty neat, albeit time consuming, class. I returned sometime in the evening, and Adam and I had dinner at Buffalo’s. Spent the remainder of the night working on Engineering Economics. I’m totally exhausted again, and it’s my day off!
