Chapel Hill

I left for North Carolina shortly after lunch expecting to make good time. Unfortunately, I was severely delayed by rainy weather and serious high-impact accidents along I-85 near Gwinett, effectively turning the interstate into a parking lot for nearly three hours. I did, however, have the good fortune of meeting someone from Scientific-Atlanta along the way. He’s apparantly a manager at one of their divisions, so it looks like it’s time to polish that resume yet again. And since I eventually did make it to Chapel Hill, I suppose that I really don’t have that much to complain about after all.

Dinner was enjoyed at the Italian Pizzeria III (IP3) on Franklin St. They have some excellent New York Style pizza. A few of Stacie’s friends joined us too, including Naomi, Mandy, and Laura. Laura is a very intriguing person, though I can’t quite pinpoint exactly why just yet. Perhaps it’s because she reminds of Sarah. Either way, I think I’d like to get to know her better.

Sravanthi also made a guest appearance after dinner at Stacie’s place. I’ve been talking to her a lot recently over the Internet and on the phone, but this is the first time that I’ve met her in person. I’d glad that I did. She’s a wonderful girl with traditional Indian values, but in a good way. She seems like a caring and open minded person.
