Job Offer

Uncategorized — Titus Barik on April 1, 2006 at 10:06 am

I’m happy to announce that I have just accepted a job offer from Enron, and will be moving to Houston, Texas within the next two months. Fortune magazine has named Enron “America’s Most Innovative Company” for six consecutive years. Specifically, I will be working in the accounting department, developing SAP modules for their federal and state tax reporting system, while developing web-based logistics and risk management services for their customer relations department.

It’s true that Enron has received a lot of negative publicity lately. Still, I feel that the company has a bright outlook as the world’s leading electricity and natural gas provider. Though I will miss living in Atlanta, I’m greatly looking forward to this unique and exciting opportunity.

  1. Congratulations, Titus! I must say this seems like a really exciting opportunity. Houston is so freaking far away, man. I hope you are ready for the Texas heat. It is nothing like Atlanta’s. Now I’m going to have to find someone else to go to the hockey games with me. I think I have a friend living out there; he’s a pretty cool guy. Let me know if you need someone to show you the city. I’m sure he’ll be up to it.

    Best of luck,

    Juan

  2. Titus, I strongly urge you to reconsider. Have you been asleep the past five years? I think you should do some more research before making what I consider to be an uninformed decision. Still, it’s your life, so ultimately it’s up to you.

  3. Luke,

You are always so negative! Titus is clearly on to something here. Or do you think we can live without energy? Titus has always been a clever guy. In fact this reminds me of the time he decided to automate the grading process by typing in each students code himself. Clear thinking. It’s what we teach at Tech!

Best of luck, Titus. I hear they have crazy wild parties out there! Go Jackets!

  4. Thanks for the warning, Titus. As parents, we are proud to see that we have imbibed in you the virtues of being filthy rich without conscience. With ambitions like this you may become the US President some day. So, Enron is great, but you could also try WorldCom and Adelphia. By sheer coincidence, they are looking for the exact same credentials. Have a fun day!
