Add or Remove Programs Blank in Windows XP

If no programs appear under Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, you can attempt to recover them by re-registering appwiz.cpl as follows:

regsvr32 appwiz.cpl

Why this happens in the first place is anyone’s guess.
